Gov. Ortom advises Christians to be actively involved in politics

The Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom, has advised Christians in Nigeria to be actively involved in politics.

The governor said it is only through their active participation in politics that they can have a voice in issues that affect them.

Governor Ortom made the remarks yesterday during a thanksgiving service  organized by the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Makurdi, Benue State. According to Governor Ortom,

“Without being actively involved and having a Permanent Voters Card, PVC, there would be no need to talk about bad or good governance.”

He said to “have a voice was to be armed with what could make one to vote for a preferred candidate.”

He continued, “open grazing could not coexist with crop farming in the state, because they conflict with each other and that would negatively affect the economy of the state, which largely dependent on agriculture.”
